Aileron Hill Vineyard Arrow - Red

A dream built from earth and air

Aileron began as an idea from Ben and Laurel, two Oregon natives who share a love for adventure, people, and this incredible place they call home. What started as a passion for flying and exploring turned into a way to help others experience the Willamette Valley differently.

Every detail at Aileron is inspired by a similar spirit with the people and places of  Yamhill County at the core. Hospitality is about connection. Aileron aims to redefine what it means to come and stay here and discover!

Meet the people behind the vision

Ben and Laurel have worked together for years, building several successful hospitality businesses. Ben, a lifelong pilot, flies as often as possible and has a deep appreciation for the terrain of this region and its impact on our weather, wines and diverse ecosystem. Together, they’re building Aileron to help others experience this beautiful place in a completely unique way!

Their goal is to push beyond what has been done before: to combine the lodging experience with access to aviation and air travel, giving guests a deeper understanding of where they are but also the ability to explore, in a single day, other areas of the Pacific Northwest. They are reshaping what it means to explore and connect.

Connection to the Community

Aileron is committed to giving back, investing more than all profits to support local sports, wellbeing, arts, public infrastructure and other charities. If there is a local cause that’s near and dear to your heart, please reach out as we want to make your Yamhill County mission part of ours.

What did the Aileron name come from?

The ailerons are the part of any aircraft’s wings that move up and down to help turn the aircraft left and right, providing balance. They are a small but powerful force for change. Much like the choices we each make in life, even subtle shifts in an aileron will alter your entire direction. Ben chose this name more than a decade ago when naming Aileron Hill Vineyard, feeling it embodied his family's approach to living and belief that adventure often shows up when you change your point of view.

What does the arrow mean?

The arrow in our logo represents our physical location in Yamhill county. From above, the Aileron Hill Vineyard property sits on a plateau shaped like the arrow itself. The arrow’s simple, paper-airplane form also reflects our passion for flight and the spirit of discovery that inspires everything we do!
